UNITY trustees and staff were saddened to learn of the earthly departure of Ally Krebs, a longtime Ojibwe friend and UNITY supporter. Ally was "one-of-a-kind" -- energetic and enthusiastic. Ally was a strong advocate and researcher for cultural preservation and was a doctoral student in Indigenous Information Ecology at the University of Washington. Her son, Adam Khalil, also served on the National UNITY Council Executive Committee.
Services were held Wednesday, January 30 in Michigan.
At her request, gifts in her memory may be sent to UNITY in lieu of flowers.
Thank you Ally for the support of UNITY and for the dedicated work you shared with our Native youth. You touched and brightened many lives!
